Passed away on December 2, 2021 after a lengthy illness, with his beloved wife, Crystal, by his side.

Addy was a very kind and loving person who will be sadly missed by his devoted wife, Crystal Lovely, his loving daughter Terri (Barry), grandson Braden (Taylor), sister-in-law Patti, nephew Christopher (Jo), niece Tina, and many good friends and family. Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Maria, and brother, Martin.

Addy was born in Eindhoven, Holland, but also spent part of his childhood in South Africa. When he came to Canada, he called Montreal home before moving to Kitchener and settling in close to his brother, Martin, and working for him at Scancolour. More recently, he pursued rewarding work, and loved the opportunity he had, to help people through his job at GRT Mobility Plus.

Living on the Speed river in Preston was a dream come true, with many opportunities to enjoy a beautiful backyard and the nature all around. For 17 years, Addy and Crystal also looked forward to yearly springtime trips to their home-away-from-home in Puerto Vallarta, loving the people and atmosphere and the time they got to spend together there.

His other love was BMW motorcycles (he had two!). He was part of the Ontario BMW Motorcycle Club for many years. Addy's passion was to ride the open road and he still had many other places on his bucket list.

Addy was always smiling, and we will forever remember his sparkling blue eyes, genuine laughter, and his good nature.

A special thank you to the nursing staff at Freeport Hospital for the compassionate care they provided and words of thanks to his wonderful friends and neighbours.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Addy’s Life will be held at a later date.

“Go wherever the road takes you, Addy and hold that throttle wide open!”

I remember Addy (Ad) as my handsome nephew from Eindhoven. He was probably the one that made me fall in love for motorcycles. I will never forget my first ride on ‘such a thing’, behind Addy’s back 😉.
We only had sometimes contact by ‘messenger’ and he always reacted enthousiast on my posts from our holidays with our bikes.
I’m wish Christal, and all who loved him the strength to go on.
(Sorry for my English)

On behalf of both Wendy and I, we would like to send our deepest condolances to you and the entire family. Although we only met a few times, he had left his "mark" on both of us with his demeanor and his infectious smile.

Dear Crystal and family: Our deepest sympathy and prayers are sent your way at this sad time. Although we only knew Addy for a short time, we feel as if we knew him all our lives! What a Gem of a guy and so much fun!! We will never forget Addy and our nightcaps on the condo roof, by the pool, overlooking the ocean!! Our paths in PVR Mexico crossed for a reason - we found new friends in Mexico!! Dear Addy may you Rest In Peace my friend. Hugs tight! Charlotte and Larry.
