It is with great sadness the family of Angela Godwin (nee Gardner) announces her death on Tuesday February 4, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener Ontario.
Left to mourn are her two older brothers, David (Nancy) of Denver Colorado and Gordon (Janet) of Ottawa. She is also missed by nieces Patricia (Steven) Goh, Sheila (Cary) Quinn, Heather (Eric) Hammond, Miriam (Chris) Carter and nephew Shawn Gardner. She is predeceased by her parents Grace and Lionel Gardner.
Angela was born in England on Oct. 16, 1945 and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1951. In her youth she was a challenging tennis player, sang in the church choir, and wrote poetry. Upon graduation from Western Technical School, she undertook several interesting careers before becoming a secretary at the Premier’s office in Queen’s Park which she eventually had to leave because of health issues.
Over many years of ill health with Vasculitis which created numerous aches, pains, broken bones because of falls etc., she rarely complained but just got on with life to the best of her ability. She had determination and spunk never backing down in trying to correct perceived wrongs.
