1926 - 2021

Passed away peacefully at Morriston Park Nursing Home, Morriston on Thursday May 27th, 2021, in her 95th year.

Magdalene Jenkins came from Europe by ship across the Atlantic Ocean to Canada at the age of 3 years old with her sister and mother in 1929. They joined her father who had immigrated earlier to Canada to find work. Raised during the Great Depression Magdalene or Maggie as she was known grew up to become a resilient and self-reliant person. The family first moved out west and later settled in Toronto. Maggie graduated from high school and later married Keith Jenkins. They had a family of three children. Maggie was a full-time mother who loved her children, and she was a devoted mother. When Maggie and her husband separated, she found work as a Travel Agent to support herself and her children, a job that she held for many years. Maggie loved to travel and took the opportunity to travel with friends from time to time when trips became available through her travel agency. She enjoyed cooking, reading, watching movies, shopping, going for walks with friends, family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Maggie was a great cook, and she would often try new recipes and liked to bake desserts. She was very close to her older sister Eva, and they often visited each other or talked on the phone. In her later years Maggie needed the supportive care of a retirement home and then nursing home care.

Loving mother of Kirk Jenkins (Colleen McMillan) of Waterloo and Mary Ann Jenkins (Steven Keith Krueger) of Salt Lake City, Utah. Cherished Grandmother & Great Grandmother of Natasha Jenkins, Amanda Jenkins, Matthew Jenkins, Sara Jenkins, Freya Muirhead Predeceased by Sister, Eva Chernysh, Mother, Regina Offenbecker, Father, Joseph Offenbecker

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation as expressions of sympathy.

It is with deep sorrow and much sadness that we mourn the peaceful passing of Agnes Major, known only as Sheree to those she loved and held dear.

On May 24th 2021 after a lengthy and hard fought battle with cancer our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend departed this world to be with the Lord at the age of 68.

Born on June 5th 1952, a Bell Island Newfoundland native, Sheree was the kind of woman who loved fiercely and always put others first. When they say girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice, they were referring to her. Sheree was instantly loved by all who came to meet her, including animals. There truly was not a mean or malicious bone in all of Sheree's body. She met the love of her life, Rick, in February of 1987 and they married in 1988; together they built a beautiful life in Ontario. Over 34 years and countless laughs and smiles their memories stitched together the tapestry of their fairytale romance.

Sheree is predeceased by her parents Jack and Kathleen Kent, her grandson John Fox, sister Kay Kent and brothers Joe Kent (Lorraine) and Gord Kent (Paula) .

Left to lovingly remember her is her husband Rick and their fur baby Boo, as well as her daughters Jacintha Fox (Bill) and Sheree Kent (Gary) her grandchildren Brooke Hammond (Mason), Jalisa Fox (Shane) and Jordan Fox (Breanna) along with her siblings Jack Kent (Gloria), Bill Kent (Linda), Tony Kent (Diane), Barry Kent (Mona), Alana Walters (Bob), Mario Kent (Donna), and her very dear sister in-law Marion Potts, together with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was our earthly angel spreading happiness, positivity and belly laughs. She is now our guardian angel and her passing leaves a hole in our hearts that we as a family can only try to fill with her happy memories and zest for life.

Messages and condolences may be left at www.tricitycremations.com. Please visit Sheree's obituary notice on Facebook.

Jason William Parks, at the age of 44, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 22, 2021.

Jason was a man of humour, who was full of jokes and stories.  He was a generous, genuine and helpful man, with a big heart.

He was the beloved husband to Megan Parks (nee Russell) and loving father to Olivia and Ruby. Caring son of Marilyn and John Parks and son-in-law of Linda and Murray Russell, He will be remembered by his brother, Justin Parks, sister-in-law Lara Parks, and brother and sister-in-law Grant and Jenny Russell. Grandson to Marjorie Wilson.  Amazing uncle of Alana, Stewart, Grayson and Colton. Adored by countless aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Predeceased by his grandparents, Jason and Viola Haynes, John and Irma Parks, Alex Wilson and his uncles Barry Parks, Reg Harpley and Jim Mitchell.

Jay was the man who never stopped.  He kept busy by working on cars, scavenging value village for the diamond in the rough, taking meticulous care of his home and property, and having lots of wrestling matches with Olivia and Ruby.  He was a jack of all trades - he could fix anything you put in front of him!

Jason was an amazing father.  He always put his family first and was so proud of his daughters and how they are growing into amazing young people.  Olivia was always up for a drive in the old cars with dad (as long as they included ice cream) and Ruby enjoyed many trips to the pond to fish (as long as dad took the fish off the hook!).  He was a loving and supportive husband, who always lived life with his family in mind.

As a child, Jason grew up in Erin, with close relationships with his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He was a big part of the hockey community in Erin.  On the ice, you didn’t want to mess with him or his teammates.  He always had their backs.  After high school, Jay got into the automotive industry working as an auto body technician at GM Frost.  Eventually, he joined Upper Grand District School Board at Paisley Road Public School as a custodian.  He created many special relationships with his friends at work.

A private family ceremony will be held.  The family is hoping to hold a celebration of life at a future date. If desired, donations in Jay’s memory could be made to KW Humane Society or Waterloo Education Foundation Incorporation (through Waterloo District School Board).

Messages and condolences may be left for the family at www.tricitycremations.com or 519.772.1237. Please visit Jason's obituary notice on Facebook.

Today we honor and remember our Mother.

On behalf of our family, we are sharing with loved ones the passing of our Mother Edith Lenz on May 10th, 2021 just before her 81st birthday. Mom has been battling kidney disease for the past 6 years and fought hard to have this additional time with her family and friends.

Edith leaves behind three children Roy Lamoureux, Richard Lamoureux and Teresa Cote. Also three grandchildren, Matthew Lum, Chantal Koster and Nicole Cote. This Year Edith became a Great Grandmother to Benjamin Lum-Gill and Brantley Koster. Edith has two daughters-in-law Trudi Lamoureux and Mary Lamoureux, as well as her Grandchildren’s spouses Harleen Lum-Gill and Corey Koster.  She also leaves behind her dear friends who have touched her world, and her heart, in immeasurable ways.

Our family does not want this day to be sad but rather a celebration of her life, and we welcome those who knew, and loved her, to be a part of it. Her request is not to have a funeral, but a personal gathering of immediate family. She encourages those who cannot be there, to join with her in their moments of remembrance. Following Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Mom will always be remembered for her generous spirit, sense of humor, silly playfulness, immeasurable strength, outspoken manner, honesty, fierce loyalty and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Mom has lived a diverse life. She and our step father (Robert Lenz - deceased Aug 24, 2011) travelled the world, and enjoyed their time together. Edith and Bob were known far and wide by friends and customers who frequented Antiques at the Sawmill or kibitzed with them at auctions. They were a staple in their community. You could always find Mom antiquing, going to garage sales, attending Indian Pow Wows, collecting "Talking Earth Pottery" and Indian Baskets, going to dances, playing cards, and reading endlessly. But her favorite thing to do was spend time with family, and raise mischief, and fun, with friends.

She touched and enriched many lives throughout the years. To her family and friends she wants you to remember her love for you. She will miss seeing each of you which was the hardest part of her passage. She has kept each of you close in her heart and taken your memory with her.

We will deeply miss all the amazing parts of her that made her so special.  We love you and will miss you Mom. You will always be close, a part of us, and tucked in our hearts.

Special thanks to the many doctors, nurses and personal support personnel at the Renal Clinic, and the LHIN, for their exceptional care and dedication. Your compassion, understanding and unwavering support helped hold Edith, and her family, up during the final stages of her journey. An additional thank you to CCAC and Tri-City Cremations Service for your care and going above and beyond to support our family .

Messages and condolences may be left for the family at www.tricitycremations.com or 519.772.1237. Please visit Edith's obituary notice on Facebook.
