March 3, 1933 - July 7, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved husband, father and friend after a year of declining health.

Loving husband for 53 years to Carol (nee Kovats). Very proud father to Jill Lazenby (Gary Kezar) of Toronto, Paul Lazenby of Vancouver and Tracy Lazenby-Paterson (Fraser) of Edinburgh, Scotland. Brother to Tony of England.  More brother than brother-in-law to Carol's family.  A fun and always loving uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews here and in England.

Bob arrived in Canada from England in 1957 and immediately fell in love with the country, hamburgers and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He soon landed a job with a local architect and there are many examples of his talent in and around the Kitchener-Waterloo area.   Bob was a lifelong runner, and a competitive marathoner in the early years of the sport who contributed to the establishment of course measurement standards in Canada.

The family would like to express our most sincere thanks to all the wonderful medical personnel from Cambridge and Hamilton who displayed such care and compassion, not only for Bob, but for all the family.

Thank you also to all the many friends and neighbours whose love and support helped us through this most difficult time.

To honour Bob's memory donations can be made to any charity that offers support to needy children.  Throughout his life he held that our most pressing global concern was ensuring that no child go hungry.
