THE bravest and strongest cancer ass-kicker lost his 9 year battle on the morning of July 30th leaving us peacefully in his sleep at Grand River Hospital at the young age of 53.

Born and raised in Kitchener Waterloo, Brad loved his family, friends, Canada, and cannabis!  When he wasn't listening to Stompin' Tom, heavy metal or John Denver, he was loving life in the great outdoors.  Brad was honest and always spoke his truth (even if you didn't want to hear it) and had the best twisted sense of humour and ability to always make you laugh and keep you grounded when you needed it most.

Brad will forever be loved, missed and remembered by his mother Claudette (late father Robert), sister and brother-in-law Tracey and Rob Blackwell, loving nieces Stephanie, Jessica and Karlee, Cheryl Gimblet and her son Alex, and best friends John and Charlie Taylor.

Special thanks and gratitude to his angel (and love of his life) Cheryl Gimblet who stayed with him every step of the way and fought by his side until the very end.

Brad will be remembered and celebrated in a private Cancer Extravaganza (his words), but all are welcome to join the family for an informal toast to Brad on Sunday, August 11th at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 412 on Wellington Street in Kitchener between 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

Cremation has taken place. Messages and condolences may be left for the family at  tricitycremations.com.
