May 2, 1939 - August 18, 2019

It is with great sadness the family of Michael Morlock announces his passing away peacefully with his family by his side at Grand River Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was the beloved husband of Elena (Scudiero) of 50 years, a loving father of Barbara (Perry) and Christopher (Helen) and a cherished Papa (pops) of Caitlyn, Nathan and Clayton. He was a dear brother of James (Lorraine) and Peter.

A dedicated teacher who retired in 1995, he shared his knowledge and love of teaching with all of his students. With his family, he’d go on long country drives and nature walks and share his passion for science and nature. He so enjoyed being involved with the Preston Scout House Band and his love of travel took him and his wife on many cruises.  His stained glass pieces brought enjoyment to many.  He loved playing cards (and winning!) with his family and friends.  An avid reader of Western fiction, he was a great fan of John Wayne and didn't mind watching his movies over and over.

A special thank you to all the caregivers especially those at Grand River Hospital during his last weeks. And a very special thank you to Dr. Vitou, who made him and his family feel important and heard in their time of need.

Cremation has taken place as per his request.  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Centre of Arts - Toyota Auditorium (Durward Centre, 62 Dickson St.).

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to either Lisaard House, Innisfree House or Hospice Wellington. Messages and condolences may be left at tricitycremations.com or by calling 519-267-7199.

Patricia Otto (Morrison)

Passed away on August 4, 2019 surrounded by her family at the age of 81.

Patricia, wife and soulmate to Donald for 60 years, incredible Mother to Susan (Scott Currie) and Jeffrey, amazing Gramma to Brett and Bradley, loving Great Gramma (GG) to Damian, wonderful sister to Wanda, and Danny (Nelly), sister in law to Dennis (Gail), and Aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Pat grew up in Alberta where she went to the University of Alberta obtaining her degree in Nursing, and met her husband Don. She spent 50 years as a nurse caring & giving to others, until the end of her life when she was forced to finally sit back and receive. After moving to Ontario she became an avid curler making many lifelong friends through the Dixie Curling Club. She touched the lives and hearts of everyone she met, never had a harsh word to say about anyone, and had a magical way of making people feel loved. She was a wonderful cook and loved to work in the kitchen (we have no idea who will take over making the stuffing at Christmas). She was a hard worker, and always took on tasks to make others’ lives easier (the Thrift Store in Mt Forest will carry a heavier load in her passing). She was an avid volunteer with Cancer Patient Services, and a fun-loving Red Hatter, golfer and card player. White wine stocks will surely be down in the coming years, and there will be one less smiling face and warm hug to greet those in Fairway Estates.

A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held Saturday September 21, 2019 at the Pike Lake Golf Clubhouse from 1pm - 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to Cancer Patient Services Corp in Mount Forest or Hospice Wellington.
