With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Tina on Monday, August 21, 2023, in Kitchener, Ontario. After a long struggle with her health for the last ten years, she passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Tina was born in 1950 in Kitchener and had five other siblings. She was a strong, independent woman who loved fashion, diverse cultures, dancing and all types of music, from Smoky Robinson to Red Sparrow and classic calypso to country. Throughout her life, she lived in Caledonia, Mississauga, Toronto, Port Credit and returned to Kitchener in the 90s.

As a trained hairstylist, she was a former stylist and instructor for over 15 years, where she enjoyed both socializing with people and making her clients feel beautiful. Her first stylist job was with the salon in Sears at Fairview Mall in the early 80s. As time passed, her wrists were impacted by the hours of cutting, and she shifted occupations. She gave back to the community in an effort to tackle racism and worked with the K-W Multicultural Centre, where she loved the joy and beautiful diversity of the annual multicultural festival. Before her health declined, she was employed with the Workers’ Compensation Board in downtown Kitchener.

Beloved spouse and best friend of Wayne Brenner, who have been together for over 23 years. Loving mother of Denise Hammond, David Lovell, Raechele Lovell, her husband Daniel Goulet, and Wayne’s children Christine Arsenault, Melissa Hinch and Ed Leu.

Cherished grandmother of Emett Goulet and Novalie “Nova” Lovell. Sister of Tish Merril (Paul) and Nick Hoffos.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lillian and Levi (Ted) Hoffos, her other siblings and her first husband, Glenn Hammond.

Cremation will take place, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In place of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society as expressions of sympathy.

Messages and condolences may be left for the family at www.tricitycremations.com or 519.772.1237. Please visit Tina's obituary notice on Facebook.

Joe passed away quietly at Sunnyside Home, at the age of 81 with family at his side.

He leaves behind his wife Marianne, his son Jason, his daughter Andrea (Doug) and his much-loved granddaughter McKenzie.

Joe was born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia. He was a born worker. As a teenager, he started loading bread trucks in the evenings at Lynch’s Bakery to save up money. At the age of 19 with a newly bought suit and $200 in his pocket, he left for Toronto. By the age of 23, he became a store manager for a Dominion location. After a few years there, he left to pursue a career in sales. That was his true passion for the next 30+ years until medical issues forced him into early retirement. He was a born salesman who was popular and very well respected in the industry by his coworkers and customers alike for his honesty & generosity.

As per Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will follow.

The family is very grateful for the outstanding care that Joe received by all of the staff at Sunnyside during his time there. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnyside Foundation in Joe’s memory would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
