Passed away peacefully during a brief stay at the Lisaard House Hospice in Cambridge, at 80 years of age. Susi lived her last enjoyable year with her new friends at the Conestoga Lodge in Kitchener.

Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Susi was a loving mother to her daughter Sharon Elizabeth (Victoria, B.C.), son Hugh Carmichael (Ottawa), and predeceased son Paul James (1979). Susi was a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren Michael, Shannon, Emily and Lauren. Predeceased by her beloved second husband (37 years) David Shaw (2014), mother Agnus McLean (Nemo) and father Hugh McLean. Susi will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her many friends and extended family including her sister and brother-in-law Marlene and Larry Ribble and by her many nieces and nephews.

Susi lived life to the fullest on her own terms and will be remembered for her humourous and fun loving nature. Susi loved to dance and laugh and was often the "life of the party". Susi enjoyed her years as a homemaker and will be remembered for her kind, nurturing and giving nature. Most of all she loved to care for her family and the various pets she always had over the years.

There will be no funeral or memorial at Susi's request.

Special thanks go out to her good friends Gloria and Bruce who stayed by her side during her final hours until her devoted son Hugh from Ottawa was able to be with her. Our family is grateful for the loving and compassionate care she received at the Conestoga Lodge and Lisaard House Hospice.

In lieu of flowers to family, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be most appreciated.

We love you Mom and Grandma.
You will live forever in our hearts.
