Mathew Tulloch

​With his family by his side, Mathew Tulloch passed away peacefully on September 22, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife Catherine (nee Graham) and children Allison, Adam and Carolyn. Beloved son of Duane and Sandra (nee Hayter) Tulloch.  Dear brother of Bronwyn Tulloch and Kate Tulloch and uncle to Abigail, Maggie, Sydney, Fisher and Spencer. Loving son-in-law to Al and Bernice (predeceased) Graham, brother-in-law to James Helmke, Nick Keates, Diane Graham (Ron Dwyer) and Ian Graham (Joy Murray). He will be dearly missed by friends and family alike.

Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of Mathew's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Messages and condolences may be left at tricitycremations.com

William Reid Grassick

Peacefully passed away on Sunday night, September 22nd at Grand River hospital, in his 95th year. 

Born January 9, 1925.  He was predeceased by his parents William and Margaret Grassick and siblings Beatrice, Faye and Harry.  He is survived by his loving wife Doris (Hilts) of 66 years, son Reid (Victoria), daughter Heather, brothers Mac and Rick.  His grandchildren Margaret, Matthew (Krista), Ian (Andrea), James (Breanna) and great-grandchildren Makayla, Nicholas, Hayley and Brielle, special nephew Terry (Linda) Hilts and his great friend Jerry (Ruth) Levitt.

He served overseas in the RCAF, 408 Goose Squadron, WO2, mid-upper gunner, Hallies and Lancs.  Retired from Labatt Brewery in 1988 as a 2nd class Stationary Engineer.  His mind was sharp and he had his sense of humour, right to the end.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations could be made to the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation or the Grand River Hospital Foundation. Mary Beverley Ann Pinsent

Mary passed away suddenly, on September 22, 2019 at the age of 61 years in Kitchener, Ontario.

She was born November 15, 1957 to the late George and Ida Pinsent (nee Payne) in Brighton, Newfoundland. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings; Jacqueline (the late Don Fudge), Lloyd (Bonnie), Donna Ince (John), Cleo Pinsent and Vena (the late George Mitchell). Mary will be especially missed by her friends, Merv and Mary Algar.  Predeceased by sisters; Mavis and Evelyn Pinsent and by brothers; Clarence and Otto Pinsent.

Cremation has taken place in Kitchener, Ontario. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to Triton/Brighton Salvation Army Church, as expressions of sympathy.

Elizabeth  "Liz" Temple (nee Josimovich)

Liz lit up every room she walked into with her radiant smile, big laugh and zest for life.
She was born on October 31st, 1953 in Beocin, in the former Yugoslavia to Gojko and Elizabeth Josimovich. She came to Canada at age 9 to escape the communist country.
 
After a strong and courageous battle with cancer, she passed peacefully surrounded by family on September 21st, 2019 at Innisfree Hospice. Survived by her partner Claude Cloutier, daughters Mel McKenna (Mike) and Nicole LeBlanc (LeBaron), son Mark Temple, sister Vera Nentwig (Keith), brothers Alexander Josimovich and Johann Karasi (Inga), former husband Peter Temple, grandchildren Molly McKenna, Chloe and Clara LeBlanc, and all of her nieces and nephews.
 
Liz worked for Canada Revenue agency for 30 years and was the nicest tax collector that you could ever meet. She was a skilled golfer and lover of music. This was evident in her volunteerism with the Kitchener Blues Festival, being recognized this year with the Phil Bast Media Award.
 
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life Open House will be on Sunday October 27th from 1 - 6pm at the Rhapsody Barrel Bar.

Barbara Annette McRae

It is with huge sorrow that we said goodbye to a dear loving mother and Grandma and Great-Grandma peacefully on Thursday September 12th 2019 at 8:50am at Golden Years Nursing home in Cambridge, Ontario.

She was surrounded by family at her bedside. Barbara McRae was 90 years old and she will be deeply missed by everyone. She was born in Royal Oak Michigan she held a number of different jobs at Norris Bakery and Lawrence Golf and KW Optical.  Also she was a personal child caregiver to many children and their children over many years. She was a loving caring spirit that we will all hold very dear in our hearts. A special thank you goes to all the caring Staff and Residents of Golden Years that cared for Barb the last year and seven months.

Beloved wife of the late Leonard James Pratt (November 29, 1990). Loving mother to Joann Hoffman (Gary) and the late David James McRae (September 3, 2011). Proud Loving Grandma to Brenda Proud (Terry) Selena Melancon (John) and Dustin Hoffman and the Late Destiny-Lynn Hoffman (July 23, 1990). Loving Great-Grandma to Zane Michael, Paul Derek James and Raven- Christine. Dear Sister of Gordon Thom (Brenda) and Nellie Chapman (Larry).

Predeceased by siblings Andrew (Rae) Thom, Frances Eichler, Frank Thom, Elberta Oehm, Margaret Kaufman (David).

At Barbara's request cremation has taken place. A private internment will be held. Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday September 28th from 10am-1pm at The Community Centre (Second floor) of the Laurentian Zehrs, 750 Ottawa St. South, Kitchener.

Sandra Lorraine Gothard

It is with an abundance of love that our mother, Sandra Lorraine "Mumsy" Gothard (nee Hargrave), has passed on peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 71. She died comfortably at home at the Village at University Gates in Waterloo on September 9, 2019. She joins our father, Brian, days after their 44th wedding anniversary. She also joins our brother Paul and
her parents Marie and George Hargrave.
 
Hers was a life lived fully, with great humour, bravery and determination.
 
She leaves behind her daughters Alison (Shin) and Gillian (Allan), five grandcats, brothers Peter (Lise) and David, nieces Nicole and Tara (Mary), and nephews Andrew and David. Born in Acton, she raised her family in Newmarket and spent her last few years in Kitchener-Waterloo.
 
Thank you so much to the staff of the Village at University Gates for going above and beyond in your love and care for our mother and our family. Your friendship and kindness has gotten us through many difficult times, and it touched us deeply that so many of you were able to visit her in her last days of life and shared hugs, laughter, and tears with us.
 
Sandra  was cremated  and a   Celebration of Life will be held at Williamsburg Dedication Centre , 1541 Fischer-Hallman Rd Kitchener on Friday October 25th, 2019   at 2;30 PM .  Doors open at 2  PM.
 
In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. Messages and condolences may also be left for the family at tricitycremations.com

Greta Herta Hodgins (nee Lueck)

Passed away peacefully at Lisaard House, Cambridge on Monday September 2, 2019 at the age of 96 years. 

Greta road her bicycle to and from work for decades and then later- to the golf course until she was almost 80.  She was an avid fan of tennis, golf and baseball. She loved playing bridge, scrabble and doing her daily crossword. She read the newspaper and checked the stock reports daily. She loved reading, travelling, gardening, cooking and baking. Her canning specialties were jams, pickles and neon-coloured relish.  Greta had a strong will and an opinion about many things. She was known to enjoy a beer and a cigarette right up until her last days. 

She was the dear wife of the late Arthur Hodgins (1981).  Loving mother of Ronald Hodgins (Lynn Charbonneau), Gregory  Hodgins (Amy Malone) and Lori Roussakis (George).  Proud grandmother of Shaun, Jeffrey & Shannon Hodgins; Alicia Dombrose and Danielle Mussara (DJ). Proud great grandmother  of Taylor Hodgins, Arriana and Alexis Dombrose; Salvador and Carmen Mussara. Predeceased by one sister, Erica (Earl) Shantz. 

A special thank you to all the staff and volunteers at Lissard House, for their commitment and kindness shown towards our Mom and  family. 

Cremation and a private family gathering will take place.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lisaard House as expressions of sympathy. You may wish to  leave messages and condolences for the family at tricitycremations.com or 519.772.1237.
