Ruth  Ialene Heiman (nee Bauman)

 Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at Grand River Hospital on Thursday November 29, 2018, in her 83rd year. 

Wife of the late Ronald Heiman, loving mother of Susan Minke (and her late husband Robert), Melanie and her husband Mark Chisholm and dear grandmother of Maclean Chisholm all of Kitchener.  Also loved by her sister, Patricia Carter of London, and nieces Kimberly, Jan, Heather, Kathryn and nephew Alan and their families.  Pre-deceased by her sister, Gladys McKinnon. 
 
Ruth will be fondly remembered by friends from Trinity United Church and the Region of Waterloo Corporate Services. Ruth was an active member of her faith community from a young age into her later years. Ruth enjoyed helping with church services at her nursing home and also being a visiting companion to other Sunnyside residents. Ruth touched many hearts and will be cherished always.

The family thanks the staff at Sunnyside Home, Dr. Kelly (staff on the 5th floor of Grand River Hospital), Dr. Benaroia (3rd Floor Hemo Dialysis staff), Dr. Harlick (Palliative care team) for their dedication to her care.

Visitation will take place at the Dedication Centre of Williamsburg (1541 Fischer-Hallman Rd., Kitchener) on Saturday January 19, 2019, from 1-3 p.m.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the same venue on Sunday January 20, 2019 at 1 p.m., with refreshments to follow. Rev. Katharine Edmonstone will officiate. Donations to Trinity United Church or Sunnyside Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener on November 24, 2018 at the age of 74 years.

Loving mother of Brad (Tammy), Chris (Michelle).  Proud grandmother of Madison, Keaton & Carter.  Dear sister of Gail Zinger (Ron), Ray Grace and also survived by a brother-in-law Robin Scott. Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Mae Grace and by her sister Barb Scott.

She was retired from the Regional Muncipality of Waterloo where she was administrative assistant.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Lung Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation as expressions of sympathy. Messages and condolences may be made through tricitycremations.com

Larry Kenneth Cebulski

Surrounded by his family, Larry Kenneth Cebulski left this world as he had lived his life,  quietly and peacefully.
 
Beloved husband of Noreen (nee Kelly) for 58 years. Loving father of Dean (Catharine) of Waterloo, and Dale of London. Grandpa to Matthew, Christopher, Kate, Alexander and Adam. Remembered with love by his sister Fran Gavloski (Stan) and his in-laws Martin Kelly (Treva), Norma Jackson, and Sharon Woodward (Terry). Predeceased by siblings Frank, Jennie, Jean, and Joe as well sister-in-laws Maurita and Jory.
 
Larry enjoyed his many years at the family cottage with his sons and their families. His purple martin houses were a fixture on the Lake Huron shore! Larry always enjoyed nature and the outdoors. His bird houses of many varieties were a favourite pastime and a great distraction from his lifelong business. “Larry Cebulski’s Plumbing and Heating.”
 
A celebration of life will be held at Saint John The Divine Catholic Church, 390 Base Line Road West, London on Tuesday December 18th at 12 noon.

Walter Lukits

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Walter Lukits on November 10, 2018, at the age 78.
 
He will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 52 years Hilda, their son Greg, his fiance Andreia, his cherished grandson Brett, and his sister Monica Heide. He will be missed by his mother-in-law Ida Ruch, sister-in-law Helga, brother-in-law Pete, along with neices and nephews. 
 
Walter retired from Babcock & Wilcox Cambridge after 43 years of service as a welder. He always cherished his family and the time he got to spend with them.
 
Very special thanks go to Dr Hubay and all the staff at the Grand River Cancer Center. As well all the amazing staff at the Lissard House in Cambridge for making him comfortable in his last days.
 
Creamation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sun. Nov, 25 at the Moose Lodge at 655 Wabanaki Dr. in Kitchener between 1 - 4pm. 
 
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Lisaard House Cambridge in memory of Walter.

Lloyd Robert Wiley Jr.

Lloyd Robert Wiley Jr. departed this life on 8 November 2018 while a resident of St. Andrew’s Terrace Long Term Care Residence, Cambridge, Ontario. 
 
Lloyd was born in Scarborough, Ontario on 10 April 1952. He is predeceased by his parents, Lloyd Sr and Mary (Rogers) Wiley.
 
Lloyd will be sadly missed by his brother, Lorne Wiley of Scarborough, his brother Art Blackley (Jeralyn) of Angus, ON and his dear friend and partner, Diane Blackman of Scarborough, ON.  Son-in-law of Helen Blackman, brother-in law to Doug and Sandra Blackman, Denise and Mark Cassidy, uncle to Alannah, Lindsay and Bryden, Great Uncle to Ariya. He also had a special place in the hearts of Nicole, Jaime and Sarah of Scarborough, ON.  Lloyd leaves behind his daughters, Cyndy Hartman of St. Thomas, ON and Lori Hartman of London, and granddaughters Jamee, Adyson, Mia and Payton. Lloyd also leaves behind his sister, Lorrie Wray and his brother, Larry Wiley of Oshawa, ON, his nephew, Scott Curtis of BC, his niece, Tammy Vaughan (Lyle) of Yorkton, SK, great-nieces, Savannah and Makayla, great-great grand nieces Paizlee and Everleigh.

At Lloyd’s request there will be no service.  Cremation has taken place. Internment to be decided at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Andrew’s Terrace for the professional and kind care they took of Lloyd from the time he arrived until the day he departed.

Geltrude Cardarello

Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital with her family by her side on November 8, 2018 in her 90th year.
 
Sadly missed by her son Carlo (Stephen), her grandson Fernando and many dear friends, relatives in Canada and Italy. She is predeceased by her loving husband Romano, her parents Vincenzo and Giuseppa Longhi, her brother Ubaldo and her sister Elide (Lorenzo).
 
Prior to living in Cambridge, Geltrude spent several years in the city of Hamilton whereby she developed many lasting friendships which truly impacted her life. Geltrude's talents were endless. Her passion was being in the kitchen or at her sewing machine. A lady full of style, class and love. She will be forever missed by all.
 
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 29th, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Clements Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge.

Rheta Winter (née Hann)

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4 at The Village of Riverside Glen in Guelph, Ontario at the age of 80.
 
Rheta is survived by her loving husband Frank Winter, her sons Peter Janes (Janet) and David Janes (Joy) and her brother Christopher Hann (Audrey) and their son Jason. She will be sadly missed by grandchildren Elizabeth Janes, Sonya Carroll (Sean), Paula Mann (Chris) and Andrew Janes. Proud great-grandmother of Riley, Charlie, Georgia and Max.
 
Rheta was born September 12, 1938 in Our Harbour, Newfoundland to parents Edgar and Dora Hann. After confederation, Rheta moved to Burgeo, Newfoundland and on to Cornerbrook following school graduation. She then moved to Toronto, Mississauga and eventually retired in the community of Hillsburgh, Ontario. There she enjoyed many days working in her flower and vegetable gardens and reading. Rheta was a loving wife and mother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
 
As per Rheta’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family. Messages and condolences may be left at tricitycremations.com, 519-267-7199.

Passed away peacefully, on Friday November 2, 2018 at Lisaard House, Cambridge at the age of 56 years.

Loving brother of Bonnie Partridge (Doug), Heather Crane (Dave), Glen Dawes (Tammy) and Peggy Illig. Fondly remembered by his step-daughters Kayla and Erika Kossler. He will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, relatives, colleagues and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Jack and Margaret Dawes (nee Yake) and by his sister Brenda Dawes.

Cremation has taken place.   A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

John Horvath

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Horvath, 79 of Cambridge after a brief illness.

Loving husband of Charlotte (Rudisch), beloved father of Susan (Wallace) and Christine (Paul) and proud grandfather of Sarah, Charlotte and Luke.

John was born in Hungary in 1939 and came to Toronto in 1956. He had a love of classic cars and was a member of the Centurions Car Club for many years. It was through the lifelong friends he made in the car club that he met his wife Charlotte whom he married in 1966. They had two daughters and in 1975 moved to Hespeler when John accepted a job with General Electric (later ABB) in Guelph. He retired in 2001 and enjoyed spending his retirement with his family, friends and the Company of Neighbours. John had a special bond with his friends Ross (Marylou), Wendel (Anne) and Jimmy (Susan) for over 50 years and some of his happiest times were spent with that group.

John is survived by his sister Regina (Alec) and brothers-in-law Rick (Susan), Bill, Tom (Lynn) and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 18 from 1 - 4 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 272, 26 Schofield Street, Cambridge.

Gordon Edward Bickford

January 25th, 1956 - November 1, 2018
 
Passed away at home, with his family by his side after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Leaving to mourn, is his wife Marina (nee Yetman) of 35 years. His son, Billy Bickford, his brothers ; Revlyn Bickford ( Marg) and Clayton Bickford  Lynn) . Also his sisters; Joyce Yetman  (Jim), Ruth Harding (John), Christine Parsons and his sister-in -law Eileen.  He will be sadly missed by many nieces nephews, friends and colleagues.   

Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Susanna (nee Yetman) Bickford, by his brother Ken Bickford and by his brother-in -law Edwin Parsons.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a “Celebration of Life” held at Westside Bar & Grill, 304 St Andrew’s Street Cambridge, on Saturday November 17, 2018 at 2 pm. All Family and Friends are welcome. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army, annual toy drive as expressions of sympathy.
