She is loved and missed by her sons and their families, Mark Ritchie and Barbara Patterson; Philip Ritchie and Cheryl Ernest-Ritchie and her grandchildren Spencer and Emily. She will be missed by her sister Donna MacKenzie of Oshawa and many nieces and nephews. Her husband William (Bill) predeceased her.
She was a kind, welcoming person, and always cared about the people that she knew. She enjoyed a long and interesting life, serving her country in WWII in the CWACs at age 19. In Ottawa and Toronto she worked as secretary then office manager for a helicopter manufacturer (OKANOGAN), a property developer (MINTO) and two international engineering companies (CANSULT and HATCH ASSOCIATES). She and Bill took an opportunity to leave Canada for a while and lived in Dallas, Texas, for 4 years, which she often described fondly as “an interesting adventure.” She then moved to London where she lived for the next 24 years. Audrey loved to travel, especially on cruise ships. Her journeys took her to every continent including Antarctica.
Audrey will be interred with her parents and next to her husband, Bill, in Bobcaygeon.
