Bonnie Doreen Bray (Beesley) at the age of 64 passed away peacefully on March 17, 2017 at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, following a year long battle with stage 4 Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Loving daughter of Late Phillip and Doreen Bray. Sadly missed by surviving brother Glenn Bray, her children Holli Beesley (Steven Roche) and Kerri Beesley; Grandchildren Paige, Liam and Ashley; Great Grandchildren Sunny and April; Mother in Law Norma McChesney; Sister in laws Karen, Noreen and Lorraine and her beloved Frank Mattucci who cared for her deeply.  She also leaves behind extended loving family and friends.

Bonnie was a long time participant in Civil War Re-Enacting alongside her Late Husband Stephen Wesley Beesley and even longer still after his passing. Fellow Re-Enactors of the 18th Mississippi Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Company B, Benton Rifles and the 10th Louisiana infantry will raise a glass in her memory. (Hurrah for Bonnie Blue)

Bonnie had a way about her that will never be forgotten. Her sense of humour through it all never diminished.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital who have cared for Bonnie over the past year.

Bonnie's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday May 7, 2017 at the Columbus Hall, 333 Speedsville Rd.,  Cambridge N3H 5A9  from 12:30 – 5:00pm with service  beginning at 1:00pm.

Please Join us this day to celebrate our Mother's Life and new Journey.

Donations can be made your choice to The Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Bonnie made my stay at hospital more bearable. We had great laughs and conversations. I know she had an impacy on anyone who spent time with her. Rest with the angels, Bonnie, and keep em laughing.

Bonnie was one of a kind... her sense of humour was wonderful and she always had a smile on her face even through her battle with cancer. She never complained, in fact she was almost always up beat. People could learn a lot from Bonnie. As a member of the 10th LA, Bonnie was so loved and she will be missed around the campfire where she would share her many funny stories. Things will not be quite the same but we will continue sharing her stories and thinking of her. R.I.P. dear friend and thank you for being you! As you would say... I'm soldiering on!

As most were, I was sad to hear of Bonnies passing. I fondly remember spending time with her and Steve at re-enactments together. They were always kind to others and a pleasure to know. She often talked of her family and friends, all of which I am sure miss her as much as I will, now and in the future. Condolences to all. She was always a bright spirit to talk to and will be sadly missed by so many!

Sorry that I cannot be there in person at the service today, but please know that you are in my thoughts as you celebrate the life of Bonnie and her remarkable spirit. My cousin Bonnie and I had not seen each other for many years but more recently had connected through social media. I will never forget Bonnie's wonderful sense of humour and whole-hearted laugh. With love, Marg (Bray) Clarkson
