Born in Swansea, Toronto. Bruce Passed away peacefully in his 84th year.

Bruce will be missed by Mary, Susan, Kim, Katja, Bettina, Sam, Don and Marion Boucher. Predeceased by Jeff in 2014.

As a young man, Bruce spent many wonderful summers on his uncle's farm near Moorefield.  When Bruce was 14 he met Mary on the Robb farm where they both were working.  At age 17 he earned the Queen's Scout award.  In 1960 he married and started his fuel oil business.  Later, he and Dave Jones started a business partnership - Boucher & Jones.  They won awards of excellence.  Bruce had a 55 year career and retired in June 2015.

He was hard-working, patient, and dedicated to his family and his community.  He was active in: Kinsmen, Rotary (Paul Harris Award), Probus, Church and Investment clubs  He planned exciting summer vacations for his family.  We remember lots of good times at the chalet in Beaver Valley.  The fly-in hunt camp at Mud Lake was a fantastic place to spend a hot August week fishing with his grandchildren.  He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing with his buddies at Mud Lake and Elizabeth Bay hunt camp, Manitoulin Island.  Bruce lived a life of meaning and purpose - always putting others first.

If desired, donations in Bruce's memory may be made to Drayton Entertainment, KidsAbility, or the St. Mary's General Hospital Foundation.  A celebration of Bruce's life will be announced at a later date.  Messages and condolences may be left for the family at www.tricitycremations.com or 519.772.1237.

Mary and Family,
We wish to convey our sincere condolences to you all. Bruce was a good friend in Trinity Church activities, Property Committee for sure as well as together in our Fellowship Club. Rotary and later Probus provided further opportunities to enjoy the company of this charming personality.
Yes, Bruce provided warmth through the fuel oil we bought but much more to his Family and in the discussions we had together about life and issues of the day. We will miss that opportunity going forward. Fond memories of a life well lived will prevail.
On we all go, Barb and Jim Wilgar

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Dale so enjoyed talking to Bruce as they had so much in common, Whether our paths crossed, at church, at theatre or on board ship. Once this pandemic is over maybe we can get together with the farmerettes as was planned for last spring.

Dear Mary, Sue and Kim,
We are thinking of you at this time. Our condolences on Bruce's passing.
Bruce and Jeff had many similarities -- they both worked hard and were successful, were dedicated to their families, and most of all were a calming influence on their families.
There are many, many years of photo memories!

Dear Mary. I have just read “A life of honesty, resilience and hard work” in today’s Record. The word “honesty” grabbed my attention. I needed to read about this person who was “honest” even today. I then looked at your wedding picture and I recognized the bride. Why that has to be Mary Armstrong. We were neighbours with you on the sixth and my family on the fourth in Maryborough township. I extend my sympathy to you and your family. I’m now living in Waterloo following my husband’s passing in 2002. You are being remembered. Sincerely, Lois Reoch (nee Johnston)
