Of Kitchener, ON, passed away October 16, 2017 at home after a lengthy illness. Cliff is survived by his loving wife Gail of 39 years, daughter Jennifer Simpson, sons Garry (Vivian) Simpson, Brad (Lisa) Schedewitz and grandchildren Jessica (Steve) Kalf, Penny (John) Andrus, Andrew (Meghan) Simpson, Ian and Derek Schedewitz, and great-grandchildren Alexander, Arthur and Willa. Also survived by his sister Nancy (Murray) McKnight, brothers-in-law Russell Dorscht and Paul (Susan) Putney, plus many nieces, nephews and close friends. He is predeceased by parents Ethel and Clifford, sisters Eleanor and Marlene, and bother Robert (Jean).
Cliff was a graphic artist and owned and operated Simpson Graphic Arts, in Breslau, for over 20 years. He sold the business, and retired at the age of 58 to Grand Bend, where he served as Harbour Master for two years. He was also Commodore at the Grand Bend Cruising Club for one year. Cliff and Gail spent their winters in Florida for ten years, and sold their home there and bought a 32 foot fifth wheel and travelled for five years. They sold the fifth wheel and rented for five more years. Cliff loved boating and golfing, and spent a great many hours on the water. He was also active in the Huff’n Puff Sport Club, in London, for seven years.
Cremation has taken place, and his ashes will be scattered at a later date, as per his request. Any donation you wish to make may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his name.
