Dave was born on May 6, 1944 in Scotland and raised in the village of Rhoose, near Cardiff, Wales. He was a resident of Waterloo, Ontario.
Sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Christine Sanderson (Clarke) and children Deanna (Brad) Bulmer and Karl (Karen) Sanderson and grandchildren Bradley, Wyatt, Joel and Levi. Lovingly remembered by his honorary daughter Leanne (Joel) Livingstone and their sons Sam and Ben. Dave will also be missed by his many friends and Bracken, his faithful Wheaten Terrier. He was predeceased by parents Samuel and Annie Sanderson and his brother Malcolm.
Shortly after arriving in Canada Dave worked at BF Goodrich for approximately 10 years, and later for a time enjoyed his own limousine business. Most recently Dave very much enjoyed working with his extended family at Forbes Waterloo Mazda for over 12 years. Dave’s passion for his work was a testament to his generous character.
Dave considered himself a millionaire because of his family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. As per Dave’s wishes, there will be no formal memorial service.
A celebration of Dave’s accomplishments and adventures will be held at a later date, yet to be determined.
Special thanks go to the caring staff at GRH, ICU and especially Mr. Jason Stainton.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the KW Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
