With heavy hearts, the family announces the sudden passing of Doug on Sunday, April 4, 2021 in his 73rd year. Doug passed peacefully with his family by his side.
 
Beloved husband and soul mate to Gail of 49 wonderful years. Loving and devoted father to Kevin (Tara) and Julie (Scott). Amazing papa to Lucas and Ryan. Survived by his sister Patricia (Gilles), brother Don (late Cheryl), sister-in-law Darlene (Ken), brother-in-law Brian, father-in-law Harold Bowman and mother-in-law Joyce Berry.
 
Predeceased by his mother and father, sister Anne (Bobby), son-in-law Rob, sister-in-law Linda (Alfie), brother-in-law Sonny.
 
The family would like to thank the staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their compassion and care during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or any hospice of your choice would be appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held when we are able to gather again.

Our deepest condolences for the loss of Doug. We were so fortunate to meet and get to know Doug during the last 5 years. An amazing and gentle soul you will surely be missed by us at the park. Gail and family. I was saddened to hear about Doug. He was a special guy and I always enjoyed his visit. He will be missed by many.

Dear Gail & Family,
We are extremely surprised and sadden to hear of Doug's passing. Doug was a great co-worker (B&W) and sportsman. Have many a fond memories of Doug at work and on the ball field, way too many laughs to tell and Gail, you babysat my kids growing up. I am one of many special people that had the privilege to have known Doug. Our heartfelt condolences to you Gail, Julie and Kevin at this difficult time.
