Passed away peacefully at Columbia Forest LTC in Waterloo, on August 1, 2018 at the age of 91.
Edith was born in Montreal on July 10, 1927. Best friend and loving wife to the late Robert James McGall for fifty years and to the late John Chandler for two years. Loving mother of Carolyn Keirstead, Donna (Steve) Shanks, Robert (Jane) McGall and Bill (Sue) McGall aka The Favourite Son. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Dave (Heidy), Darryl (Helena) and Chris (Anna) Keirstead, Robert (Jennifer), Brent and Brian Shanks, Kevin (Tara), Scott, Sarah and Diane McGall, Cassandra and Tyler McGall. Cherished Great Grandmother (GG) to Jacob, Fiona, Kayla, Maya, Shae and Leah Keirstead and Evelyn McGall.
Mom took great pride in her large family. She will be well remembered for her joyful social spirit and her outstanding sense of style. We will all remember Mom’s love of singing, dancing and her sparkling smile.
A family memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the staff of Columbia Forest LTC, whose compassion and care during her six years there, created a safe, loving home for Mom.
