1953-2019

Liz lit up every room she walked into with her radiant smile, big laugh and zest for life.
She was born on October 31st, 1953 in Beocin, in the former Yugoslavia to Gojko and Elizabeth Josimovich. She came to Canada at age 9 to escape the communist country.

After a strong and courageous battle with cancer, she passed peacefully surrounded by family on September 21st, 2019 at Innisfree Hospice. Survived by her partner Claude Cloutier, daughters Mel McKenna (Mike) and Nicole LeBlanc (LeBaron), son Mark Temple, sister Vera Nentwig (Keith), brothers Alexander Josimovich and Johann Karasi (Inga), former husband Peter Temple, grandchildren Molly McKenna, Chloe and Clara LeBlanc, and all of her nieces and nephews.

Liz worked for Canada Revenue agency for 30 years and was the nicest tax collector that you could ever meet. She was a skilled golfer and lover of music. This was evident in her volunteerism with the Kitchener Blues Festival, being recognized this year with the Phil Bast Media Award.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life Open House will be on Sunday October 27th from 1 - 6pm at the Rhapsody Barrel Bar.

Donations can be made to Innisfree Hospice or Grand River Blues Society. Messages and condolences can be left at www.tricitycremations.com or 519.772.1237

All my love and deepest sympathies to the entire family.
I loved spending time at Liz and Pete's house when I first met Melanie in 1999. Liz was so much fun and often hang around the kitchen with us as we prepared for the night out. Her smile and laugh were just perfect. Thanks for treating all of us like daughters.

Condolences to Liz's family and friends. Loved her enthusiasm and spirit. We were friends at the Galt Country Club and shared interest in the Blues music.

Chris and I are shocked to hear of Liz's passing. We had no idea she was ill. She would come by and say hi to Chris and I at every event we attended. We will surely miss her.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Liz’s passing. Liz was the brightest light.
I always remember her smiling
I don’t think she ever, not smiled. She was always so supportive and enthusiastic with all of the shows that her daughters Nicole and Mel performed in withour tribute acts. I always loved when she came to our gigs, my ex-husband loved hanging out with her too she was always so fun to be around. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her

Our deepest sympathy to family and friends. The Blues Community has lost one of its finest. The immeasurable amount of work she did, always had a smile and kind word, thanking everyone for volunteering whenever she saw you, always helpful in solving problems. She will be missed.

David and I are so sorry to hear of Liz' passing. We were part of her life, and Peter's and Nicole's, when we shared taxi driving duties. Nicole and our daughter Leslie were attending the National Ballet School together. We also shared the roller coaster of emotions that comes to parents of NBS students. But Liz always looked at the positive sides of our experiences. We learned from her example. David and I give you, her family, our sincerest symphathy in the loss of your dear Liz. Fondly, Kathy and David John
