Eugene James Lloyd "Gino" Woods

Passed away peacefully at Hospice of Waterloo Region surrounded by the love of his family on September 13, 2023 at the age of 66.

Born in Kitchener Ontario, Gino enjoyed music, fishing, nature, reading but most of all bringing a smile to all he crossed paths with.

Gino drove with Challenger trucking for many years, driving, whether it was his Cutlass, T-bird or BIG TRUCKS, he was in his happy place.

Beloved son of Shirley and the late Lloyd Woods. Favourite and “only” brother of Judie Needham (Tom passed in 2022) and Kimberly Woods. Cherished Uncle to Judie and Toms children; Christopher (Krista) and Gregory (Kate) and Proud Great Uncle to Logan, Connor, Nash and Jake.

Gino will be missed by his lifelong chosen family Colleen, Amy, Jarred (Val), Jessica-Alyn and Dylan Lewis. His precious chosen GG grandchildren, Ethan, Timothy, Lily, Olivia and Lina brought “Papa Gino” endless joy, love and laughs.

Cremation has taken place at Gino’s request. In lieu of flowers donations at Hospice of Waterloo Region would be appreciated.

I remember when he lived on Borden ave with his parents
he was friends with my brother Larry , and was up at our cottage

So sad to hear of Gino’s passing. He was fun as a kid, and wonderful as an adult. Always caring and compassionate, he will be missed.
