Guy was a great husband, an amazing dad, and a wonderful Papa. He enjoyed any time he could spend with his family, going camping through the 80s and 90s, going to car shows any night of the week where he would take the family in his 1966 Ford Galaxie. He spent many of his years working dispatch at Kingsway and retired in 2007 to take care of his wife Glenna, who passed away in March, 2020. Cupid found Guy shortly afterwards and he took life by the horns and married Dawna Colyer in August 2021. Guy enjoyed his visits from Marsha's family every year where he could see his grandsons Presley and Jackson, and his favorite and special son in law Adam. He always made time to enjoy the family visits taking them to the beach, malls, car shows, and of course Johnny B. Goodes. Guy was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in March of 2022 and still live every second to the fullest.
A living celebration of life was held on May 21, where he got to see all his family, friends, fellow car guys for a night of stories, fun, laughter, and dancing to the great oldies music courtesy of Frankie Greco. Guy said after the evening that this was the best night he had in a very long time.
Guy leaves behind his wife Dawna Gallaway, daughter Marsha, son-in-law, Adam, grandsons Presley and Jackson, sister Mary-Ann, brothers Larry and Garry. He was predeceased by his wife Glenna, Father Kenneth and Mother Ella.
We will always remember his big heart, kind, caring ways, his love for his family and friends, cool car, and his willing to help anyone in need of a hand. The world would benefit greatly if there were more people like Guy Gallaway. May you rest in eternal peace. ALWAYS REMEMBER AND NEVER FORGET WE LOVE YOU
