In 1944, Jim joined the British Army and was assigned to the famed Black Watch Regiment. He quickly distinguished himself as a leader and rapidly rose through the ranks, eventually retiring with the rank of Captain.
In 1956, he was asked to leave his homeland of England to travel to Canada to set up the Canadian operations for Royal Doulton China. Jim established a world class organization and enjoyed 40 years as president and CEO of the company.
When he retired, he spent many hours with his love of reading, especially about wars and History. He was also very happy spending his winters with Brenda in Florida, cruising and travelling to many places.
Family and friends are welcome to join a celebration of Jim's life on January 8, 2017 at The Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club at 141 Wilson Ave. Toronto M5M 3A3. Between 2PM to 5PM.
In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to donate to the Innisfree House Hospice.
