Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family at Parkwood Mennonite Home, on Sunday October 3, 2021 at the age of 76 years.

Beloved husband of 53 wonderful years to Catherine  (nee Kennedy) . Loving Father and  "Daddy's little girl" Farrah Wehrstein (Darryl) and Chris Osborne. Predeceased by his parents Buck and Rose.

John and Cathy had an amazing life together travelling to the East and West Coast, Florida, multiple cruises, Hawaii and after they retired spent 11 years in Texas during the winter months. He was a member of the Norwich Classic Vehicle Club where he built from scratch a 1968 Red Mustang Convertable which won several awards at Car Shows. He was such an amazing husband and father. He adored his dog Oliver and loved having multiple picnics with us this summer. We will never forget all the great memories we have shared. Dad, we will always have Butterfly Kisses at night.

We would like to thank the amazing staff on Bauman Homestead for taking such good care of Dad. You welcomed him into your home for the last 7 months and we cant thank you enough for all the love and support you have given us.

Cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life/ A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkwood Mennonite Bauman Homestead or KW Humane Society as expressions of sympathy.

Messages and condolences may be left for the family at www.tricitycremations.com or 519.772.1237. Please visit John's obituary notice on Facebook.

My condolences to you, John's family, and all who loved him. He lived at Parkwood for just a few months, but in that time, we came to really enjoy his presence here. God bless you and, at this Thanksgiving time, help you to be grateful for all John brought to the world through his life. Rev Alan Cook (Chaplain at Parkwood)

Dearest Mrs. Osborne and Farah,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved husband / father.
Mr. Osborne had a beautiful life and a blissful marriage. The picture that was in his room will be in my memory. It is hard to forget a red Mustang 65 convertible and a happy couple riding in it.
Farah, you have been a precious, sweet daughter and each time you came to visit your father, I enjoyed talking with you and if we did not talk just the vision of you brought light and energy to me.
Hope you will keep in touch with Parkwood
Love and Blessings, Stella, Administrative Assistant at Parkwood Mennonite Home
