John or Johnny as he was affectionately called was a Ford Motor Co. retiree. He was an Old Timer hockey player, women's hockey coach, an ardent NDP supporter and 3 time candidate. Loved his golf and the 19th hole where they would gather to have a few brew and tell lies. He owned the business “Brew by-U” in Brampton, and after he retired he enjoyed Wasaga Beach summers and Lakeland, Florida winters for over 20 years. Travelling was also a passion, coast to coast in Canada and from Hawaii to Venezuela with many ports in between, including most of the United States.
Wonderful husband and friend of Donna Deamer (nee Dietrich). Loving father of Lucky Deamer (Robert Johnston), Karen Mather (Patrick), Kim Cook (Jim Small), and step daughter Terri Campbell. Proud *Grumps* to his many grandchildren and great grandchildren and Uncle John or Johnny to many nieces and nephews. Dear Brother of Harry Deamer and Susie Hibbit (Gerald).
Predeceased by parents Ernest and Doris Deamer. Predeceased by brother Ronald Deamer and wife Margaret, sister Dianne O'Donnell and husband Barry, stepson Ken Graham and brother-in-law Rick Dietrich.
