Passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener on Wednesday April 14, 2021 at the age of 61 years.

Born in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec, Roma loved his daughters dearly and had a passion for NASCAR, tinkering with cars and motorcycles his whole life.

Roma is survived by his daughters Nicole Marshall (Brian Marshall) and Amanda Poirier, sister Lysa Capen (James Capen) of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Romeo Poirier and Mildred Phillips (Belair) and his brother and sister.

Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to House of Friendship as expressions of sympathy.

I've been friends with Roma for over 40 years and am sorry to hear the passing of Roma. He was a good and talented guy who could fix anything and will be missed.

I knew Roma for many years along with brother and sisters. Truly sorry to hear the bad news and along with his older sister Suzanne. Thoughts and prayers to the family. Rest in peace Roma. Until we meet again .

I met Roma through my daughter he helped us out several times repairing our vehicles his help was greatly appreciated. Such a sad loss he will be missed.
