After a courageous battle with cancer, Leo shut down his last party on April 7, 2022.

Leo is survived by Colette, his loving wife of 52 years, and his children Claire (Oscar), Mark (Evelyne) and Jamie (Sandra).

Leo always had something sweet for his adoring grandchildren Steven, Lindsay, Reiley (Brooke), Austin, Carter and Gabriel, as well as treats for his “grandogs”, Zoe and Stubby.

Leo was born on Bell Island, NF, on March 31, 1950, and was predeceased by his parents Leo and Frances (Butler), and his siblings Madeline, Ned and Gerald.

Leo is survived by his brothers Kevin (d. Linda), Alf (Deb), and sisters Madonna Bilodeau, Marilyn Kargus (Mike), Patricia Normore (Dick), and his sister-in-law Pauline LeForte (Paul). He was Uncle Leo to many nieces and nephews.

Leo was a proud Newfie, a hard-working family man, animal lover, sportsman (not always sportsmanlike), and was always the life of the party.

He will be missed dearly by his family and many friends at home, in England, Port Elgin and Florida. His friends were like family to him.  Many thanks to all who helped us through this difficult journey.

Per Leo’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church on Wednesday, April 13th at 3pm.  Covid protocols will be in place.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

Have a ball at the great golf course in the sky Dad, we’ll meet you for a beer at the 19th hole!

Deepest Sympathies, Leo, See You in Grand Bend, in Heaven; just like 1973, but I won't get caught, this time! LOL; Cheers!

Collette, Claire, Mark & Jamie … our condolences on your loss of Leo.
Leo was a character for sure, full of life and laughter! There was never a dull moment during the baseball days of the Walker Exhausted Ones with Leo on the mound! Leo left us with fond memories.
Peace be with you all.
