It is with much sadness to hear of Len's passing.
His unbelievable suffering is over now.
I extend my sincere condolences to Jeanette, Sandra and to the Family. Len was my very good friend and we exchanged Christmas Cards every year. He was amazing when it came to giving advice on many subjects. He will be missed by all of us !
Wish the Family Strength and Light.
Erik.

My condolences to the family. Len was one of the first Directors of Engineering I met back when I was starting my engineering career at the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto. I still recall his legendary trades to improve his team in the office hockey pool. Golf was another passion Len had and was well known to enter very competitive teams in tournaments. Decades after we parted ways, he still looked me up at another job and invited me to play on his “hand picked” team for golf......which we promptly won. He was generous with his time and was happy to help me with engineering advice knowing I was starting a new and challenging position later in my career. It is remarkable that a person takes the time to remember you so long into a career. I am grateful for his thoughtfulness.

My condolences to Len's family. I was fortunate to have Len be the consultant engineer on one of my projects and would meet up with at many municipal engineering networking events. He wore his iron ring proudly!

I met Len through golf and the Ontario Good Roads Association while Len was still working for the City of Toronto. It was clear from the start that Len loved the engineering that he did. Indeed, one wondered if he would ever retire. Once Len left the City, I had the pleasure of working with him on a consultant assignment that he did for me with the City of London. He continued to be a consummate professional, one who always foresaw design and operational challenges and looked for unique solutions when needed. He remained passionate in pursuing consulting work and often shared the details of assignments won or lost.
Of course, golf was another passion and I was honoured to join Len and his longtime friend, Richard Puccini, as they kibitzed around the course over a token wager.
Lastly, Len remained a mainstay on the OGRA Advisory Board of Past Presidents, actively participating and bringing new ideas to the group. It was at that last meeting in February that Len and I planned yet another golf outing with Richard, which clearly won't happen. I will miss Len's professionalism and camaraderie. He was a true gentleman.
My condolences go out to Len's family and friends.

Thank you all for your kind words during this difficult time. I truly miss his presence in my life especially how his belly shaked when we shared laughs over a few pre-hockey game drinks! He also taught me a good work ethic.
