It is with great sadness that the family of Lui (Luigi) Montuoro announce his passing on February 3, 2021 at the age of 40.

Husband to Lisa and devoted father to his cherished children Ella Marie and Theo Luigi.  Loving son to Settimio and Maria Montuoro and brother to Marcello (Gillian), Toni (Jamie) and Marisa (Kevin).  Son in law to Richard and Joan Brown and brother in law to Steve (Tammy), David and Alison (Dave).  Uncle to Elaine (Vlad), Lisa, Jessica, Taylor, Brooke (Mike), Paige, Summer, Noah, Sydney, and Bella.

The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and PSW’s who provided care and support to Lui daily.

Lui was a kind and gentle person with an infectious smile who loved to spend time with his family and friends.  He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Cremation has taken place. As per his wishes, there will be no funeral but a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.  Donations can be made to Go Gold Cambridge in support of Childhood Cancer at gogoldcambridge.ca.

Messages and condolences may be left at www.tricitycremations.com. Please visit Lui's obituary notice on Facebook.

The two weeks Frank and I spent sleeping in your basement then working with Lui left its mark on me. He was always Frank's cousin growing up and we had some fun times before that trip but that short moment in time so many years ago made him a friend and one I will miss. We shared our passion for all things Montreal Canadiens and New York Jets, the only other person I know who loves both as much as I do! I'm sad he's gone but glad he's no longer in pain, maybe truly rest in peace. My condolences to his parents, siblings, Lisa and their beautiful kids.. may you find some comfort and peace during these difficult times. Thoughts and prayers to you all. ❤️

We met Lui at our daughter's wedding in the D.R. He was such a lovely and fun guy to get to know. We were sorry to see Lui, in so much pain and even then, he would greet us with a smile. Our sincere condolences to Lisa, Ella, Theo and the entire family. We miss you but know you are in a better place. Jan and Stephen Wood-Salomon
