It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Mark Tossounian. He passed in his sleep due to a stroke. He is survived by his mother, Maria Farrugia, sister Lucy Ryan, sister Jeannette Tossounian, best friend Jennifer Weber, nephew Grayson Ryan, and many cousins throughout Ontario.

Mark was born in Ontario but raised in the Okanagan, British Columbia. In his youth he played hockey and baseball. He enjoyed cooking and international cuisine. Mark excelled at Trivial Pursuit, excelling at history and geography.

Mark was a gentle soul who had the gift of making people smile and laugh with his quirky sense of humour. He will not be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life gathering  will take place at the Dedication Centre, Williamsburg Cemetery, 1541 Fischer Hallman Road, on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 1:30 pm to 3 pm.

RIP Mark

Mark, I will miss you so much. I loved you like s brother and you meant the world to me. We shared many interests, had many friends in common, cried occasionally and laughed endlessly. We celebrated milestones over the years, Christmases with my family, countlrss games of Trivial Pursuit, music, movies, and so much more. You were a male role model for Taran, and Taran and I very much considered you an uncle to him. We had our arguments too (both very stubborn), but no matter how intense the argument, we never stayed angry for very long. We loved to laugh, but also enjoyed deep, philosophical conversation. Your quick wit and antics will be missed! My life won't be the same without you Mark, but I will remember all those great times, and will likely use your infamous "one- liners" for the rest of my life. I know you are throwing that softball to Lexy right now and re-connecting with those who left this earth before you. Until we meet again my brother. RIP ❤🤗🙏

Mark, you were a great guy. You sure knew how to make people smile and laugh, and I got to say you loved cooking and you were a damn good cook. You will be missed by so many people. R.I.P.

It never occurred to me that Mark would actually die. I just figured he was a permanent fixture -- always there. We were so often on opposite sides of political and social issues yet we tolerated each other's viewpoints. I am going to miss my excellent painter. I hope he has a golden brush in the afterlife.

Mark, I made your chicken curry recipe tonight and it was just as good as always. Many baseball games were played over many years. Rest easy, Mark. The toe knows!
