Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at Columbia Forest Long Term Care.
Beloved husband of Rosa Altmayer for 64 years. Loving father of Ingrid Klaver and her husband Ted Klaver, Nick Altmayer and his wife Wanda Altmayer and Pete Altmayer and his wife Rosemarie Altmayer. Cherished grandfather of Philip (Victoria) Klaver, David Klaver, Kaitlynn, Nicholas and Alexander Altmayer and Sean (Jen) Phillips. And proud great-grandfather of Grayson and Hudson Klaver and Clara Phillips. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Survived by his sister Elizabeth Geimer and predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Peter and Anton Altmayer.
Nikolaus was born February 16th, 1931 in Yugoslavia and emigrated to Canada as a young man. He worked for EE Seegmiller for over 45 years.
Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Nikolaus’ memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
