My heart is broken. Dick was a colleague for many years at Parks Canada in Halifax NS. I worshipped him. He was inspirational, entertaining, worldly and loved to tell me stories. We spent a lot of time on the road together and in various communities across the Atlantic Provinces. My life was enormously enriched by knowing him. Our colleagues across the region will be devastated to hear of his loss. We were all in awe of Dick. Personally, he was much more than a colleague - he was a very important friend and father figure to me. The world is a lesser place without him. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. I know he will be mourned and missed by so many. He was one of the greats!

I was deeply saddened upon reading about my dear friend Dick's passing. It was always a pleasure working with Dick , be it on purchasing equipment, setting up training and the wonderful Park Roadeos. As a friend we played many rounds of golf, enjoyed good meals. I'm glad that I could call him a friend, even after his retirement we spoke by phone on several occasions. From all your friends in CBHNP, our condolences to your family.

Dick for a true gentleman, like the others, i got to know him through his time with Parks Canada, for about 10 years. after this, he retired and moved back to Ontario. The picture you have chosen is a worth a thousand words, it is truly fitting. Condolences to the family, friends, and past colleagues of Dick Fagan....from Cheticamp, Cape Breton Island

I am deeply sadden to hear of Dick's passing. We worked together for many years a t the Parks Canada Dedicated Unit in Atlantic Canada. Dick was very dedicated to his job as Atlantic Fleet Manager and proud to serve Parks Canada in that capacity. We shared many happy coffee breaks and even a few trips. Dick worked extremely hard but was looking forward to his retirement. Unfortunately his declining health did not allow that to be the case. But Dick faced all his challenges in life with great courage, a good sense of humour and unending faith in God. Rest in peace my friend; I will miss you. Roxanna
