Rick was especially proud of his welding career with the Plumbers Steamfitters and Welders Local 527. He served for 4 years on the Examining Board as well as just over 5 years on the finance committee. He took the Stewart Training Program and was honored to be chosen as a Union representative.
Rick’s proficiency in welding qualified him for working in the vaults at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station and Darlington Nuclear Generating Station. He also worked at Roberts, Sutherland and Schultz, Modern Niagara as well as many other contractors too numerous to mention. He loved his job and he was good at it.
Rick achieved his life’s dreams of building a house in the country, having a barn with horses GoBar, Shalamar, Shacar and Zorra and his Dobermans Zeus, Thunder and Storm.
Loving husband of Linda Kipfer, nee Phillion.
Dear brother of Gary Kipfer and his wife Marlene.
Stepfather to Debbie Farrow, grandfather to Nikki, Darcy and Jesse and great-grandfather to Jason (Cricket) Dustin (Pickle), Wyatt and Wesley. Nephews Randy (Marlene) David (Karen) Bryan (Dianne), Bradley and Cheryl (Bill).
