As the result of complications from an untreatable neurological disorder and with the assistance of a MAID team (Medical Assistance in Dying), Richard passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2018.
Beloved son of the late Alfred and Eveline Lee, Richard is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Dianne, his wonderful daughter Michelle and her husband Adam Ley and their children: Brennan, Grayson and Evyn. He leaves behind his sister Claire Duchene (Henry, deceased) and her children and their spouses: Kathy (Dennis), Mike (Karen), Sharon and Carol (Warren) and their families.
Richard spent 35 years working in various capacities, for the Toronto Board of Education. An avid walker and traveler, he was most proud of having visited all 7 continents. A private interment will take place at a later date.
