Passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 82.

Born in Guelph, Ontario. Son of the late Robert and Lily (McClelland) Henderson.

Beloved father of Diane (Klaus), Steve (Anne) and Bob (Tracy). Proud grandfather of Jamie, Reese, Brynn and Nolan. Big brother to Sheila Henderson.

Predeceased by his wife and the love of his life, Carol (2016) and by his brother Ken (2011).

Bob had a successful career and retired from Rockwell International.  He was an avid golfer. He loved sports, and was a life long New York Rangers fan. He was an accomplished wood worker, and a not so good electrician.  He enjoyed winters in Myrtle Beach, his summers on the golf course, and his time with family and friends.  He was happiest just being with his wife Carol.

He will be dearly missed by his extended family, golf buddies and many friends.

Cremation has taken place and in recognition of the times, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Messages and condolences may be left at www.tricitycremations.com. Please visit Bob's obituary notice on Facebook.

Bob was a special guy who I first met 50 years ago playing hardball in Preston. We saw each other (not much) thru the years but we connected last year playing golf every Saturday morning. He was the same caring, special person he was years ago. My condolences are with the family.

Our condolences to your family. Bob was my boss at Rockwell, he used to call me, Mrs Moffit, I always say he qas "the BEST boss" I had in my whole working career. Back then, his family meant everything, since his parents pSsed away at a young age your Dad was concerned about his life expectancy. He supported those who worked for him, he was highly regarded by those he worked with and our external sales people and work customers, one of your Dad's favourite sayings when something went wrong was "I'll wear the hair shirt on that one", so when he retired we made him a hair shirt.
Your Mom worked part time as our receptionist at Rockwell, she always had a smile on her face, what a lovely woman, sorry I missed her obit in 2016.

The one thing I will always remember your Dad taught me was "think twice, speak once" it is something I still use today.

I'm the loss of both your Mom and Dad has left a void in your family, remember all the good times the fond memories and remember the work was a better place because of both of them

Please accept my condolences. On a recent trip to PEI after 2 days in the car plus all week in PEI and 2 days back and only on Bob's admission that he may have run out of something to say, that I realized not once did we require the radio to be on.
I warned him that it was unfortunate he told me because I was sure to tell everybody at golf what he had said. But the pause was short lived as we found additional material to cover. I will miss Bob he was a true friend.I will miss, truly miss my "no radio required" travel buddy.

Bob, Diane and Steve, please accept my condolences. I can't believe he's gone. Just a short time ago we had a lunch meeting to get organized for our 2022 Telephone City Retiree's Golf Groupe season.
Bob was our hard working secretary, and will be truly missed by all our members. I knew Bob for many years and being a Hespeler boy, I knew Carol all my life. I am sure they will be happy to be back together again. May you rest in peace my friend.
