Beloved husband of Brenda Gail Haines (Cook) for 55 years. On July 9 of 1966, they met for the first time and it was love at first sight. Loving father of Lisa (Rob), Kim (Mike) and Julie (Jim). Proud grandfather of Vanessa (Sara), Ryan (Kendra), Paige (Peter) and Madison (Nathan), Phil (Corinna), Scott (Caryn) and Andrew. Dear brother of John “Jack” (Marie), Shirley (Lorne), Fred (Gloria) and Mary. Brother-in-law to Sharon (John), Linda (Lyle) and Judy (Tommy). Loved by many special nieces and nephews and extended family.
Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Ellen (Pearl), sister Shirley, brother-in-law Lorne, sister-in-law Linda, nephew Paul, father-in-law Robert “Red” and mother-in-law Reta.
Born on March 23, 1941 and raised in Woodstock, New Brunswick, later moved to Ontario where he worked for 35 years at Babcock & Wilcox and retired in 2006 to take on a new love of driving and playing pool.
Remembered by long-time work friends Pat O’Brien, Al Glasgow and Tom Zylstra and special neighbours Gary (Theresa) and Bev, Bob and Jean, Marg (Bob) and Jim (Melissa and Cindy).

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 between 12 – 4pm at the Preston Legion – Branch 126, downstairs lounge, 334 Westminster Drive North, Cambridge, Ontario.
