Ruth Madeline Herzberg (Disher)

Ruth passed away peacefully with family by her side at her home on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at the age of 81. Lovingly remembered by her husband, Dieter Herzberg.

Proud mother of Donald (Lorena), Peter & Suzanne (James). Loving sister to John and Jim Disher. Ruth will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Cameron, Amanda, Julia, Kayla, Shane & Katie. Dieter will truly miss his dear wife and best friend, his poetic “limerick” collaborator - his “heart of gold”.

We celebrate and are grateful for Ruth who taught us about kindness, compassion and God’s love.

She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She took care of us with much love and devotion and will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. We will always cherish the precious time that we had with her.

A Celebration of Life will take place in a private family ceremony at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Remember Ruth from many years ago when we first met at a VON PreBirth meeting for soon to be mothers. This was 55 years ago. We kept in contact for many years, but had not heard from her for some years now. She was a very sweet, kind person, a woman of faith.. Sincere sympathy to the family.

It is with sadness that I read of Ruth's passing and I wish to offer my sincerest condolences to you, Dieter, and all of your family.
I remember the many times I went upstairs, at 140 Weber St., to visit with Ruth, when I was a child, some 60 years ago. I remember her kindness and her sweet smile and she has now been called home, to be with our Lord.
I will keep her in my prayers.
