James Zieske

1962 – 2026

James Zieske passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the age of 64. James is survived by his loving wife Linda (nee Payne), with whom he shared almost 20 years of marriage, his mother Helga, and his siblings Ruth (John) Paterson, Victor (Patty), Ella (Bruno) Friesen, Karen (George) Kelly, and Marlene.

Also survived by his in-laws: stepmother Jan, John Mihm, Ginny, Dianne (Ron) Buick, Gordon (Martha), and Rick.

Predeceased by his father Victor (1993), parents-in-law Gordon (2026) and Virginia (2010), and sister-in-law Barb Mihm (2025).

James will be dearly missed by friends, the extended Zieske and Payne families, and his dog Toby.

James faced many health challenges but withstood them all like a true warrior.  James had a quiet faith in Jesus, and we know that he is no longer suffering and is resting in the arms of Jesus.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren ( WMB) 245 Lexington Rd. Waterloo on Thursday April 16th at 11 am. Reception will follow. Private interment.
