John Scott Montgomery

1955 - 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John on Tuesday May 6, 2025 at the age of 69 years. This was just as the trees and flowers he enjoyed so much were starting to flourish.

Born and raised in Kitchener, John was a proud "Postie" for many years. He was known as a hard worker with a soft side. He had a knack for gardening and an avid interest in current events, and the world around him. He had the bug for travel and took many trips up until his 60's.

John had the ability to strike up a chat with a stranger and make their day. Nothing made John happier than sharing a good meal and a conversation on a wide array of topics. The last 10 years of his life, his family was fortunate enough to see much more of him and reconnect in many ways.

Loving son of the late Frances Montgomery (nee Morrison). Cherished brother of Doug (Jean), Deb (Tim), Wendy (James), Linda (David), Mark (Sue), Lisa (Alain). Dear Uncle of Jennifer, Christie, Scott, Kate, Andrew, Alan, Robyn, Laura, Ashley, Jaan, Mihkel, Kaila, Amy, and Erin. Dear Great-Uncle of fourteen. John was predeceased in 2022 by his beloved brother David.

Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. John will be forever missed and remembered.
