Karley Marie Thomson (née Lennox)
December 22, 1983 – August 3, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Karley Marie Thomson, who left us on August 3, 2025, at the age of 41. Karley was a follower of Jesus Christ, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched the lives of many.
Born in Grimsby, Ontario, Karley grew up surrounded by family and community, later settling in Kitchener, where she built a beautiful life with her loving husband, David Thomson. Together, they have three wonderful children — Aylish, James, and Juliette — who were the light of her life.
Karley was the cherished daughter of Cathy Lennox (John Lennox) and the late James Lennox, and a loving daughter-in-law to Beth and Doug Thomson. She was a devoted sister to Angie Thomson (Brad Thompson), and her brothers-in-law Jonathan (Bethany) and A.J. (Sarah). Karley was deeply loved by her extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Karley worked at Nemcor in Cambridge, where her dedication and kindness were felt by all who had the pleasure of working with her. She had a deep love for people and animals and was fiercely protective of anyone who faced hardship or disadvantage. Her empathy, strength, and unwavering loyalty made her a pillar of support to those around her.
Karley had a passion and zest for life that could be seen in the twinkle of her eye, a radiant smile, generous heart, and made everyone feel seen and valued. Karley was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3: 5-6
“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.”
— Robert Jordan, The Eye of the World
A private family and friends gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dawn Centre in honour of Karley’s belief that the life of a baby should not be a choice or the Food Bank for Karley's passion to feed the less fortunate.
