Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8th at Innisfree House in Kitchener, Ontario at the age of 72.

Loving mother of Donald 'Chico' Liboiron and Linda Liboiron-Grenier (Henri). Dear sister of  Frank Atencio (Vicki), Ed Atencio Jr. (Judy), Duane Atencio (Karen) and Tony Atencio (Alice). She will be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, friends, and in-laws across Canada and the United States. Special friend to Vicki Whalen, Linda Black, Kelsey and Karley McGlade. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Donald (Donat) Liboiron, her brother Phil Atencio (Angie) and her sister Judy Sanchez (Dave).

Bertha came to Canada in 1968 with her charming beau Donald where they lived life to the fullest with many cherished family and friends, never once forgetting the beautiful Atencio family in Colorado.

She loved Christmas, bird watching, cooking for the gang, listening to country music, and socializing with friends (young and old) often providing sound advice and being a shoulder to lean on. She kept her mind sharp by completing daily crossword puzzles and was knowledgeable about current events around the globe.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Bertha’s life will be held on Saturday, July 7th from 12 pm to 3 pm at Ferrigan's Pub, 20 Birch St. Garson, Ontario.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Innisfree House or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre.

Bert was the eldest in our family of seven siblings. She was a great sister that looked after the rest of us. She was always very independent and she began working and supporting herself at a young age. She worked at a Dude Ranch for several years where they thought the world of her. Later she worked at a rehab center where she met the loveable Canadian Donald "Frenchie" Liboiron and what a Great pair they were. Bertha had no problem living and bringing her two kids Dondie and Linda up in Canada as she loved it! Big sister we will always love and miss you, may you rest in peace
