I was so saddened to learn of Yvonne’s passing. I want to reach out to each of you - her beloved family - to send hugs of compassion across the miles. I will not be attending the celebration of her life as I’ll be out of the country, but in my mind, I will be with you to lift her spirit to the heavens. She will always be remembered by myself as warm, kind, loving, fun-loving & adventurous. ❤️

Saying Goodbye to this dear friend is not easy. It is just too soon....just too sad. She was an amazing woman. Full of love and life. Brilliant. Always opening our minds to look a little further. She touched our lives and our hearts as only she could. I will miss you Yvonne. I will not say Goodbye but I will say Till We Meet Again. Always in my heart. Love Dena

I am so sorry for the loss to all of Yvonne's family. I've had a lot of unfortunate things going on in my life and it's been really hard for me to put this in print. But here it goes....

I met Yvonne several years ago in Salida, CO while I was working on a film. One night we went and saw a local band and my friend told me I should go dance with the good looking lady dancing by herself, I think he just said that because we were close in age. But I'm very glad he said it and I did it.

I found the free spirit I met that night was in fact one of the kindest, most authentic, nicest people I've ever met. We ate dinner several times and talked a lot. We kept in contact every few months or so after and she had great advise while I was caretaking my Mom in Michigan, who passed of cancer 4 years ago.

I unfortunately did not get in contact with her over the last several months of her life, and for that I'm so deeply sorry. I miss her very much and will always remember her the great person she was.
