It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Essie, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, on Tuesday April 18, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s General Hospital.

Essie will be missed greatly but, is now reunited with her beloved son, Spencer Tracey, as well as, her sister, Lillian Harris and brother Donald Parsons.

She will be missed and always remembered by her dearest family and friends. She will be missed most greatly by, her partner in life and best friend Tony Stashuk. Her sons Micheal Tracey and his wife Joan and Randy Tracey and his wife Tania Pettitt. Her grandchildren Andrea Macdonald, Tara Smith Tracey, Shane Tracey, Samantha Tracey and Kylee Tracey. And her great grandchildren Login Tracey, Spencer Smith and Jacob Smith. Survived by her brother Melvin Parsons and wife Jerri and sisters Lexi Stubbert and Gertrude Devison. Lovingly remembered by her West Coast family Bea, Sheila and Ray and her adopted daughter Sharon O’Mally and family.

She will always be held tightly in many memories as the loving, kind, strong willed, and giving person she was.  And how she never gave up once something was started. She left with great reluctance but will be looking down and watching out for all she cared for just from somewhere new.

A time of visitation will be held at Green Acre Parks Recreation Hall, 580 Beaver Creek Road, Waterloo on Saturday April 22, 2017 from 1 p.m. until the time of Celebration Service at 3 p.m. Refreshments will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.

So very very saddened of the passing of my dear Aunt Essie. She had so much love to go around for all of her family and friends and was very very proud of each and every one! Such a sweet, kind, loving person who was always so pleased to visit with you. I have such respect and admiration for her wonderful, happy character. I feel blessed to have had such a relative in my life. She always came to visit our family & reminded me so much of my Mom these past few years! Essie was a ray of light and laughter. These things she brought to all who had the honour to know her and love her. You will be missed Dear Essie, but you leave us with love in our hearts at the thought of you.

I was very sad to here that Essie has passed. She was one-of-a-kind. Thanks to her I really know my way around a sewing machine. She certainly made an imprecision on my life. Thank you, Essie.

My mom, Geo Amlinger, and Essie were childhood friends in Glacé Bay. They travelled together to Ontario when Essie was 13 and my mom 16 with 1 suitcase each. The Cameron Family were always pleased to see Essie and Gert at many of our gatherings. They were 2 heros of my early adult life for their humour and exuberance in everything they did.

Uncle Mannie: Our deepest sympathy to you on your loss. Mom will call you but I wanted to express my condolences as well. Take care. Love Carol
