Passed away peacefully on May 5, 2020 at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy, Ontario at the age of 79.

Loving mother of Ruth (Ron) Perriam and Charlene (David) Templeton. Proud grandmother of Ricky, Randy, Brigitta (Keaton), Cassie (Dean), Joshua and great-grandmother of Canyon and River Rae. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Charles (Charlie) Brown (1988) and her parents Fred & Ethne Redman.

She was retired from a supply teacher position with the WCDSB. She was originally from Hamilton but lived most of her life in Preston. She was very active with the Allen Reuter Centre, her local community and many charitable organizations. She loved to travel, especially cruising. She enjoyed Zumba, Line Dancing, walking and gardening.

As per Sheila’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Allen Reuter Centre, ALS Society or Strathmere Lodge would be appreciated by the family. Messages and condolences may be left at www.tricitycremations.com or 519.267.7199. Please visit Sheila's obituary notice on Facebook.

I will miss Sheila’s smile and laughter. She always had a great positive attitude. In the classroom, the kids liked when she was their supply teacher.

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they're watching over us."
May God bless your family and friends as they journey on without you. As they look to the sky may they feel your warm touch in the sun, have loving memories return hidden in the clouds, see your smile in the moon and watch your eyes sparkle in the stars.
We have all been given the gift of knowing and loving Sheila and in return we will grace the lives of so many people we meet along the way with some of the wisdom and laughter she has passed along to us.

Working as an EA for WCDSB I can tell you we always loved having Sheila come into our classrooms! She always shared so mush joy and laughter with all of the students and staff. What a treat it was to watch her dance down King Street in Preston during the Canada Day Parade ! I will miss my friend, Susan Koenderink.

I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. When I think of your Mom I remember her beautiful smile. She could light up a room, such a positive influence she was.
I am thinking of you. Sending hugs and my deepest sympathies.
