Alfred Hepburn Hall

Born December 25, 1934 in Warwick Township, Ontario; and on Friday March 13, 2026 in Cambridge, Ontario, with family by his side, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 years.

Alfred is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years of marriage, Patricia (nee Hubbard). Loving father of Thomas (Fatima) grandsons Mitchell (Lauren) Cameron (Natalie) and Curtis of Cambridge; and son Matthew (Tamara) grandsons Justin and Connor of Winnipeg.

Alfred was predeceased by his infant son Joseph (1965) and infant daughter Stephanie Marie (1967). Parents Russel and Alice Hall, and siblings; brothers Ross (Marjorie), Homer (Shirley), and Sister Eleanor (Roy); and beloved mother in law, Mary B. Hubbard.

A cherished member of his supersized extended family, Alfred was a trusted and steadfast friend who will be missed by so many.

Alfred was employed by the Polymer Corporation in Sarnia, before advancing into business as a restaurant owner. With opportunities taking him to the Waterloo Region, Alfred continued to advance his career into Management roles with H & R Block, and ultimately to Clarica, where he enjoyed a rewarding career in Financial Planning.

A devoted family man, who loved the beauty of the Southern Ontario countryside. Alfred was a keen horse racing enthusiast and virtual equine encyclopedia. A big Blue Jay fan who always hoped for one more championship. A lover of the simple things, like a round of golf, a manicured lawn, and a cold beer on a hot day. Al cherished his many fun-filled vacations with Patricia, and relished the time with his grandchildren, cheering them on as they advanced through life.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Dr. Tamara Holling for her kind and compassionate care, and to Alfred’s wonderful nurses, especially Kerri and Darina, and PSW’s Jim and Clarita. Thank you for all of your care and comfort in Al’s final days.

A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 12 PM on Thursday, March 26 at Saint Clements Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, Ontario.

The family requests that those wishing to send flowers or donations, please contribute to the charity of your choice.
