Allan Victor Smith

October 31, 1943 - May 15, 2025

Allan Victor Smith, a man known for his compassion, his humour and his big heart, left us on May 15th, 2025.

Born on Halloween 1943 Al lived a life well spent offering kindness, understanding, and shared memories.

For 62 years Al was the beloved husband and best friend of Dianne Smith (nee Prince). Cherished father of Sherry (Doug), Rory, and Dianne (Dale). Dear brother of Elaine (Rory) Proud grandfather to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Esteemed uncle to his many nieces and nephews. A treasured friend to all.

Al was known for his large collections of music, books and for his love of the Boston Bruins but it was his kindness and empathy that will forever reside in our hearts. As we grapple with his loss we find solace knowing that his spirit lives on through the love he instilled in us.

According to his wishes, Al was cremated.

Please join us to celebrate Al’s life Saturday June 7th at the River of Life Church in Midland. The service will start at 11:00 am followed by a light lunch.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
