Atilla (Tony) Nagy
March 1952 – May 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Atilla (Tony) Nagy on May 19, 2025, at the age of 73. Tony left this world surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion.
Born in Oshawa, Ontario, Tony grew up in the vibrant city of Toronto before making his home in Kitchener. A man of passion and enthusiasm, Tony’s heart was captivated by the open road as a trucker, the roar of jet fuel cars, and the timeless charm of classic movies. His love for life was infectious, and his stories of adventure and mischief brought joy to all who knew him.
Tony was the beloved spouse and best friend of Marilyn Spence, with whom he shared 28 beautiful years of love, laughter, and companionship. He was a devoted stepfather to Melissa Spence (Kyle LeAvey) and a proud father to Gabriella (Gaby) Cassandra Nagy (Tony Doherty) and Krista Anne Marie Nagy. His grandson, Joseph Moulton, was a source of immense pride and joy.
Predeceased by many dear friends who were like family, Tony’s memory will live on in the countless lives he touched with his kindness, quick wit, and generous spirit.
In accordance with Tony’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to support Tony’s beloved spouse, Marilyn, with final expenses would be deeply appreciated as an expression of sympathy.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 21st, 2025 from 2-4 pm (weather depending) at 82 Secord Avenue, Kitchener. Please RSVP to msmelissaspence@gmail.com
