Barry John Kane

Barry John Kane passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on January 27, 1942, in Coventry, England.

Barry was a cheerful and easygoing man who became a father figure to many. He had a special way of lifting others spirits. Whether he was singing an Elvis song or cracking a joke, he always found a way to bring a smile to someone’s face. Family member or stranger, it didn’t matter—Barry was always ready for a chat and could brighten your day.

He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara, and his brother, Gordon. He is survived by his brother, Stephen.

Barry shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Josephine. Together, they built their life in England before making their big move to Canada, to provide the best possible future for their children. Through hard work and dedication, they raised four sons: Andrew (Darlene), Michael (Heather), Steven (Caroline), and Anthony (Antonela).

Barry was a proud grandfather to Elann, Paige (Imogen), Brittany (Dominic), Zane, Lauren, Tyler, Hunter, Austin, Madison, and Brooklyn, and a cherished great-grandfather to Madden. In total, he leaves behind ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Above all else, Barry loved his family. He never missed an opportunity to play with his grandchildren or share stories and laughter from years past. He was loving, funny, and generous, and a man who made a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Barry will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
