1957- 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Scott at Lisaard House on Friday February 13th, 2026 at the age of 68.

Thomas Scott Nagy, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born on May 13, 1957, Scott lived a life defined by kindness, devotion, and a warm sense of humor that brightened the lives of everyone who knew him.

Scott was the devoted husband of Cindy Nagy for 47 years, his partner in life and love. Together they built a home filled with laughter, strength, and unwavering support. He was a proud and loving father to Jeff (Dina), Cory, and Ryan, always encouraging and guiding them. Nothing brought Scott more joy than being “Grandpa” to Austin, Matthew, and Madelyn. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with whether sharing stories or making them laugh with his quick wit and playful spirit.

Survived by his brother Steven, and mother-in-law Millie. Dear brother-in-law to Sue (Glenn), Bruce (Jackie), Shelley and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Steve and Shirley, father-in-law Robert, and sister-in-law Carol.

Scott was an employee of Home Hardware for 25 years. He was known for his kind heart and generous nature. His sense of humor, sometimes subtle, often perfectly timed, could ease tension and spark laughter. Scott loved watching hockey and cheering for his favorite team, the Detroit Redwings.

In keeping with Scott’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lisaard House or Canadian Cancer Society as expressions of sympathy.
