Catherine Louise Wettlaufer (née Glover)

Passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her children, on Monday, August 4th, 2025 at the age of 62. She was born April 5, 1963 in Wiarton, ON to Eleanor Glover (née Playford) and the late Donald Glover.

Catherine is survived and missed by her husband Dan and her beloved children Courtney (Vikas), Jordan (Jamie), and Cassidy (friend Brittany). Catherine had a short but cherished time with her grandson Krish. Siblings and their families will miss her deeply; Karen & Jim, Gordon & Lindsey, as well as nieces & nephews Cheyanne, Tara, Cameron and Clayton.

Catherine moved to Kitchener when she was 18, and worked for many years at Manulife. While raising her family, Catherine worked tirelessly to complete her degree in Registered Nursing with honours at the age of 40, and continued her education in Occupational Health. She worked at Mount Sinai and Sick Kids Hospital before serving as the Manager of Wellness, Health and Safety at the City of Cambridge for 12 years. She will be remembered for the care and compassion she showed to all those she met.

Catherine enjoyed spending her weekends walking her dogs Georgia, Charlie and Angus with her much loved family along the Spur Line and Iron Horse. In the summer, she could be found enjoying the sun in her back yard surrounded by flowers and her dogs. She loved visiting her mom’s farm in Wiarton whenever she could, driving her Jeep there with the top down and the wind in her hair. She had a special place in her heart for Blue Jays baseball, as well as the Rolling Stones and Bob Seger, and her neighbours could hear proof of that.

A celebration of Catherine’s life will take place between 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 524 Belmont Avenue West, Kitchener, ON. The family will receive friends and family on a drop in basis.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions to Kitchener Humane Society are welcome.
