Christopher Edward Austen

Passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025 at A. R. Goude Long Term Care Home in Kitchener, Ontario at the age of 77.

Cherished father of Diana Steffler and proud grandfather of Darius and Campbell.

Dear brother of Sandra Gillett (dec. Clayton) and Cam Austen (Janette) and brother-in-law of David Campbell (Wendy).

Predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret Austen (2016), his parents Ted and Beatrice Austen, his in-laws William and Lillian Campbell and his sister Linda Thompson (Jim).

After high school, Christ spent several years in the army building his strength and his honour for himself and his country. Years later during his time at Westing House, he met his beautiful wife of over 40 years and had his only child, a lovely daughter. His passion for drafting soon led him to start his own successful business, Complete CAD Services for over 30 years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed golf both on and off the course and socializing with his friends. His love of HAM radio led him to his faith, attending church every Sunday. He volunteered as an usher, sharing his joy and laughter with all who attended.

Chris’ bubbly spirit will be greatly missed.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8 from 1pm to 3pm at Forward Church, located at 55 Franklin Blvd. in Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Toronto Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
