David Stuart Moody

October 26, 1958 – September 19, 2025

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of David Stuart Moody, who left us on Friday September 19, 2025, in Cambridge, Ontario, at the age of 66. Born on October 26, 1958, in Bolton, Ontario, David was the beloved son of the late Wilbur and Flo Moody.

David leaves behind his devoted and loving wife of 36 years, Sharon, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Together, they built a beautiful life full of laughter, love, and shared dreams.

David liked to say he was a step-up dad, yet in the eyes and hearts of his children, he was, without question Dad to, Tammy (Steve), Jay, and Shawn (pre-deceased by Laura). His greatest joy, however, was found in his role as "Papa," where he lovingly doted on his grandchildren, Amanda (Tristan), Ashley, Brendan, Michael, and Stephanie (Michael). His heart swelled even further with pride for his great-grandchildren, Keira-Lee, Chloe Olivia, Emma Lynn, Ava Lynn, Tay, Laura Lee, John David, River-Mae, and Olivia Aurelia. Every moment spent with them was a treasure he held dear, and the memories of his love and guidance will be cherished for generations to come.

David was predeceased by his sister Susie and his brothers Donny and Larry but is survived by his siblings Linda (Alan), Ted (Stephanie), Bill, Patti, Allan, Kevin (Robin), Gord (Jane), and Ron (Pat). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family, each of whom will remember him fondly.

A true animal lover, David's constant companions were his dogs, Little Bear and Mr. Roo, who brought him endless comfort and joy throughout his life.

David’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His love for family, his warmth, and his gentle spirit will never be forgotten. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

Join us to celebrate the beautiful life of David on his birthday, Sunday, October 26th, 2025, from 1:00–4:00 PM at John Bayus Park, 1429 Sheffield Rd, Cambridge, Ontario, N1R 5S2. We warmly invite you to follow the signs to the community hall within the park as we share memories, laughter, and love in his honor.
